Last Days with Sosi...

So Sosimo took off today, heading up North to the Sea of Galilee to do some ministry work up there. Pray for this brother. He has been such an encourgament and a blessing to work with on the Missions field here in Israel. Some of the pictures show a few of the moments we spent with Sosimo. Lord willing, I'll be seeing you soon bro. Keep sharing His love, and keep you eyes on Christ. Love ya man. Peace

Oh, and by the way, the video above is a video of Sosimo on Yom Kippur. He was attempting a tarzan swing over the water.. Just watch. Sorry Sos, I had to post it! hahaha! Enjoy.

Korean Shabbat!!!

Friday evening we headed over to Jay's house for a delicious Korean Shabbat Meal. His wife, Kume is a Korean lady, and the both of them really have an amazing testimony of marriage. They have had such a fun life together, and have been through many experiences. Today they are serving our Lord Jesus Christ in Israel! Praise God for this lovely couple! They fed all of us, more than enough, and after we enjoyed some time of worship and praise in their upper room.

It reminded me of Acts 2, when the whole house became filled with the Holy Spirit, and everybody was filled with the Spirit. Well overall, it was such a blessed night, and great fellowship!

Food For All...

Well yesterday was my moms birthday, and the Lord blessed me with a song to sing to her! I was able to call her on Skype and sing it to her over a video chat. You can check out the video by clicking here! It was the first song I have ever written, and I was so excited when the Lord put these few short simple words to mind.

This morning I received a phone call, from Beto (a leader for SEND Ministries) and he asked I'd be willing to d even o a bible study on Acts 3. So you can all pray for me, that the study will go well tonight. I'm a bit nervous, though I have taught a few bible studies already, I still get nervous teaching on the Word of God, because I know I am held at a high level of accountability because not only am I feeding on the word of God, but I will be serving it to others, and I must do so in Truth!

Speaking of food, below is a picture of the food that I made today for lunch. Since I have been here in the new bungalow, I have been living a regular life, grocery shopping, and cooking meals on my own. I have just been experimenting on a few things. Above was what I had today, pretty simple, just white rice, chicken, onions and peppers! The Lord is so good, and always feeding me! The chicken turned out a bit dry, but hey I'm learning.

Well, I have a few things I'd like to ask prayer for:
  • Consecration
  • Boldness
  • Diligence with Devotions (hearing from Yeshua)
  • A refreshment of the Holy Spirit
  • Opportunities to Share the Gospel / Bible Studies and be used to lead others to Salvation
  • Faithfulness to the Ministry God has put me in.
  • For my sister-in-law's pregnancy to go well! My Niece Nevaeh is due very soon!

YABA DABA ZOO!!!!!!

Today was such a fun day. Last night I got a call, from some good friends, asking if I could take their two daughters to the zoo. They couple had been up the whole night before, praying for a young lady, who is demon-possessed. They were successful in casting out the evil spirits, but the young lady is still being closely watched. She has been trying to accept Christ for sometime now, but the same seven spirits or "men" keep appearing to her and literally choking her, and beating her. She has been through a horrific life, but really a great testimony. So anyways, please keep this young lady in prayer.

So, because this couple had been up the whole night before praying over the young lady, they were completely drained the next day and just had to sleep. So they asked if I'd be willing to take their daughters to the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo. Of course I did!!! What better way to spend the day with two lovely kids at the Zoo!!! So we headed out early this morning on the busses, myself and the two girls. The older girls name is Siyona, and the little one is Miriam! I had such a blast today with them, and it really made me start thinking of my Niece who should be born in about 2 weeks!! I'm so excited to spend time with her, and hopefully someday, take Nevaeh and Elijah to the Zoo, also! Well the pictures really explain it all, and show some of the personality of these lovely girls. I wish everyday could be like today! I was so blessed to spend the time with them, and I pray that they will be raised up, strong and mighty woman for Christ!

We got back from the Zoo around 7:00 pm, and I ended up crashing on the couch at the couple's house. Dinner was ready and they tried to wake me up, but I must have been so wiped out, they said that it took them about 10 min to wake me up! Haha! They actually started to get worried that I was dead or something! Haha. I was just so exhausted from playing Soccer till 2am Friday night, going to watch soccer and not getting home till 2 am saturday night, and then spending all Sunday at the Zoo with the energetic kids! The young lady who has been possessed by evil spirits now is living with this family.. they had me and a pastor over for dinner and after a great huge meal, we sat in the living room with some tea. We began to speak to this young lady, and kept telling her about Jesus! At first, she was reisistant and began to argue (even though she wants to believe, she just looks for arguments because of the oppression she is under). The pastor told her, that God has used him in the past to bring to life a young girl who had died. He prayed over her for hours, and all of a sudden the young girl grabbed his finger, and he said he jumped back in fear because of what had happened. He had the faith but since it was his first time, he was scared when she really came back to life!

So this young lady, gave us her testimony, and explained the trauma she has been through. I wont tell all the details, but basically, just up until this afternoon, she was still being affected by the evil spirits. They were still in her, and choking her. Today she has exorcised over at church (I was at the zoo) and hopefully they got all the demons out of her. The way she spoke and the words she said made it sound as if she had been a believer for many years already. But the truth is, she has just heard about Jesus only a week ago. Before that she was raised as Moslem, denying any deity of Jesus. She spoke about her life for a few hours, and after she asked if we could pray for her. We spent some great time in prayer, and it was truly amazing. When the young lady prayed, it was as if I was hearing a prayer from a believer walking strong in the Lord, not one who is borderline to salvation.... I pray and hope that I was just witnessing a Miracle tonight, and not just the deception of a demon still in her, using crafty words to make everybody think she is doing fine now. I know the Lord is mighty, and I have heard of these kids of stories before, but never have I witnessed one in real life. So now I am praying that the Lord will increase my faith, that I can trust that He is truly transforming this young lady's life. She kept emphasizing the cross, and how she always see's it at night. And when she does, she see's light, and knows it's Jesus Calling her Home. I pray that we will have the same dreams, that we will realize that Jesus is calling us to Himself with open arms..and we'd RUN to Him! Thank You Jesus for this Beautiful Day. Watch over the young lady and her children who are separated from her! Jesus your Name is mighty to Save, and Mighty to raise the dead to life! Remove the demons from this young lady, and fill her with your Holy Spirit tonight, I pray! Please Join me in prayer for this young lady! Her name is Iman.. she has 3 kids who have been taken from her, and she longs to see them again! Pray pray pray! Spiritual battles are so real here in the Middle East! So Real. Amen, in the name of Yeshua!

ISRAEL FUTBOL!!!

Last night was the final home Futbol Game for Israel this season! they were victorious over Moldova! It was such an exciting time with a bunch of great people. If you recall the last game I went to, we had seats on the othe rsdie of the field where the "quiet" people sit. But last night was much better, because we sat in the center of the crowd - chanting, singing, jumping up and down, and cheering together as we watched Israel beat Moldova (3-1). This game was far better tahn the first, adn I'm so thankful that God has allowed me to come all the way to Israel, and blesses me with a relaxing evening with friends at a Futbol game! As you can see from the pics, it was a great time indeed!

update from Jerusalem...

Hey everybody.. sorry I haven't been posting things about my current status.. I had to catch up on those blogs regarding the Study Tour of Israel with Pastor John Bonner... So anywho, This past week has been a great celebration time of Sukot, the Feast of Tabernacles. It's really cool to walk around the old city and see all the Suka's being built for individual families and restaurants. A Suka is basically just a tent, where we are supposed to dwell, reminding us of the Hebrews who did the same from the book of Numbers. So there is lots of celebration this week. Today was a March of the Nations, where people come from all around the world and march carrying their flag, representing their country, who is in support of the God of Israel. I was kinda bummed that I missed out on this parade, but I was also blessed to be serving with CMA. Today I was helping out a brother, build a huge closet/drawer thing for his daughter. I passed out New Testaments to Arabic people in the morning and then spent the rest of the day helping assemble the closet. It doesn't sound like much, but just imagine how big this thing had to be, for 2 men to work on it for about 10 hours straight..haha.

Last week was Yom Hakippurim, the day of atonement, and I spent it with SEND Ministries. I have been so thankful to be able to be "adopted" into the SEND team, from california. They really brought me in as one of the team members, and it's been great to serve along side of them, whether it's passing out NT's to Madonna fans, volunteering at the soup kitchen, playing worship on Ben Yehuda street, or just having some sweet worship sessions back at the dorm. Yom Hakippurim was a nice day to relax, fast, and take a walk throughout the streets of Jerusalem, since there are no cars driving this day. At the end of the day we celebrated the breaking of Fast at the Western Wall, and it was truly a joy to spend it there, getting free bread and juice, and watching the Jewish believers dance and sing songs, rejoicing over the holiday. To them it is the Holiest day of the year, and they are thankful, because they believe now that they have been forgiven of their sins.. Next year they will do it again. I thank Jesus for the work that He did, because now I dont have to wait a whole year to get atonement for my sins. Jesus constantly is washing me with his precious blood, forgetting my iniquities, casting them as far as the east is from the west, daily! Not yearly... Pray for the Jews and Arabs here in Israel and really all over the world, that their eyes will be closed to religion, and opened to Christ.

Sorry their are no pictures. I haven't been luggin my camera around much...

God Bless.

Sept 23, 2009

This was the last day of the study tour. One of my favorite days as we visited the Temple Mount and also Hezekiah's Tunnel. This was my second time through Hezekiah's Tunnel, but as usual, it was much better the second time. John actually hooked us up to go on a Tour with a pretty smart Tour guide. He was a Jewish man, but definitely knew his Tanakh well. The tour was amazing to learn more about the life of King David, and also how/why the tunnels were built. It was an amazing experience to also stand on the steps that led up to the Southern Gates, which is where the common people would walk and also join in fellowship at the the pool of Shiloam down at the bottom end of the Old City of David. Temple Mount was much fun as well. It wasn't quite what I had been expecting, and actually much larger than I had realized. It's no wonder King Herod was known as a Great. But anyways, my favorite part is standing on top of what could possibly be the Holy of Hollies. I remember hearing the idea from Pastor Dave Hinchey that I could pray on top, but might cause some anger to rise in the Moselms. Well, I asked two friends if they wanted to get on their knees with me and pray and of course they said sure. So the three of us, stepped into the Dome of the Spirit, which stands on top of the Holy of Hollies (where the Ark of the Covenant once was) and fell on our knees. It was a blessing as I prayed there, thanking God for bringing us to that exact location. Pastor John Bonner was able to snap a few shots of it all.. And after it was all over, we looked up to see nobody hassling us for what we had done. The Lord really watches over us in all situations (even our not-so-intelligent ones). Ha.. Later this day we took Pastor John to the Sherut station and said our goodbyes as he headed back to Peru to continue to Direct the Bible College.

Please pray for Pastor John Bonner and Tyler as they head back to Peru, and as they continue to grow in the admonition of our Lord Jesus Christ. They are truly great brothers, and I am now praying about going to Peru for a semester. Lord willing, I'll be blessed to see John Bonner again!
